What this site is, and what happens when you send a request

What the site does

The guides on this site explain how bathroom remodels work in Calabasas: what needs a permit, what gets inspected, what the code asks of a shower or a toilet room, and where cost figures come from. Every rule and number links to the government office, code book or publisher it comes from, so you can check it yourself.

When you ask to be matched, your request goes to one licensed contractor who does bathroom remodels. That contractor does the work, writes the estimate, and answers for it. This site does not quote prices, schedule work or sign contracts.

What happens after you send the form

1. Your request is sentYour name, phone, address and the details you chose go to one licensed contractor. Not a list, and not a bidding pool.
2. The contractor calls youTo ask about the bathroom and set a time to see it.
3. You get a written estimateOnce the contractor has seen the bathroom in person.
4. You decideThere is no obligation to hire them, and you are free to get other bids.

Check any contractor before you sign

California's Contractors State License Board lets anyone look up a license by number, business name or person, and shows whether it is active and what classifications it carries. Do it for any contractor you consider, the one you are matched with included. Check a license on the CSLB site.
